Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer “Leave the Sun Behind Me” (partial) Review

Press Sample

Hi everyone!  I have a colorful post for you all today!  Julie from Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer sent me some beautiful neons to swatch and review for you guys.  These beauties are from her newest collection called “Leave the Sun Behind Me” inspired by the movie “The Darjeeling Limited.”  The movie is set in colorful India and the polishes coincide perfectly!

First up, we have “It’s in the Itenerary.”  This polish is described as a neon purple jelly with blue, to magenta to teal to gold ultrachrome flakies.  I used two thick, easy coats, and topped with Seche Vite.  I think this polish is my absolute favorite out of the three!  Look at those flakies! Yum!

Next up, we have “Rubby.”  This polish is described as a neon pink with red shimmers and strong red shift.  I love these kinds of pinks, they make me look like I have a tan when I really don’t.  I used three easy peasy coats to reach opacity, and the formula was amazing!

And last, but most definitely not least, we have “Stop Involving Me!”  This polish is described as a neon yellow with copper shimmers, and gold glass flecks.  This polish was also very easy to apply.  I used 3 coats.

Isn’t that neon yellow gorgeous?!  The entire set consists of 6 Lacquers and retails for $61.50.  “It’s in the Itenerary” retails for $12, “Rubby” is $8.50, and “Stop Involving Me!” retails for $8.50.  The collection releases on August 24th and can be purchased here.  What did you think of these polishes? Aren’t they beautiful?  Thanks for reading everyone and I’ll talk to you soon!
